Meeting/Party rooms for hire at the White Hart Wolvercote
Rent a room for your party or meeting room at the White Hart Wolvercote Community Pub.
Many people happily hold small meetings in the main pub – most afternoons it is quiet, so no booking or payment needed - just buy a drink or two.
For larger or more formal meetings there are two rooms which can be rented at reasonable rates, with further reductions for community groups or charities (see below). Both have been completely renovated within the last two years.
The Garden Room is completely separate from the pub, so can be used when the pub is closed, as access to the toilets within the pub is separate from that to the main pub. The room is light and bright, with a wood-effect floor and exposed beams. It is accessed from behind the pub (no steps) and has windows overlooking the garden. It is 3.5m x 5m and can accommodate various layouts of tables, or be cleared for a party. There is a TV in this room. Numbers accommodated will depend on arrangement of furniture. The maximum to meet fire regulations is 50, but this would be a squeeze.
The Upstairs Room is larger, 4.4m x 5.1m, on the first floor and accessed via a narrow staircase in the passage behind the bar. It is not therefore suitable for those with mobility problems, though there is a first floor bathroom that can be used instead of the downstairs loos. The room is equipped with a wall-mounted whiteboard. Again the maximum is 50 people, and what is comfortable will depend on the furniture arrangements.
Coffee making facilities can be provided in either room, and further catering may be available by arrangement.
Current prices (inclusive of VAT) are the same for each room:
£15 per hour for commercial organisations
£10 per hour for non-commercial community groups or individuals.
Further reductions may be negotiated for charity events. Prices for catering also by negotiation.
The Pool Room opens off the main bar and is also available for parties where easy access to the bar is required.
