Food at the White Hart, Wolvercote – 126 Godstow Rd  OX2 8PQ

 

The White Hart Community Pub in Wolvercote has recently been expanding its food offering, aiming to provide excellent food at reasonable prices. To pre-order food or reserve a table ring the pub on 01865 511978.

Breakfasts and light lunches every Sunday, 10.00 am to 2.00 pm with coffee/tea/soft drinks from 10 and normal bar service from noon. Many families combine breakfast out with a visit to the Wolvercote Community Market which sells wonderful Polish sourdough breads and a wide range of cakes, as well as locally sourced organic eggs and vegetables and two or three other stalls which vary weekly.

Pizza Thursdays, 5.30 pm – 9.00 pm, eat-in or take- away. Described as ‘the best pizzas in all Oxford’, we use authentically Neapolitan slow rise dough made on the premises with a wide range of toppings. 

​

Parties, meetings and wakes can be arranged to order, with catering supplied, either in the main pub (outside of normal opening hours), in the rear part (pool room) of the pub, or in the Garden Room (accessed from the garden), or in the Upstairs Meeting Room (accessed by a narrow staircase, so not suitable for those with significant mobility problems).  For further information on Garden and Upstairs rooms see separate page.

At The White Hart we make our fresh pizza dough weekly using Wessex Mill Flour from Wantage and the freshest ingredients like buffalo mozzarella, sweet crushed tomatoes and grilled vegetables. We only use extra virgin olive oil for our pizza toppings.
